First: Is Your Hotel on the East Bank or West Bank?
For many years, "Luxor airport transfer" usually meant a transfer to one of the established East Bank hotels. Luxor now has a much wider choice of hotels and guesthouses on the West Bank, so the hotel name and riverbank must be confirmed before an accurate fare can be given.
Luxor Airport is east of the city and on the eastern side of the Nile.
That makes many East Bank hotels comparatively direct by road. A West Bank hotel requires a different and generally longer driving route.
Common East Bank destinations include:
- Luxor city centre
- Luxor Corniche
- Luxor Temple district
- Karnak and northern Luxor hotels
- Hotels around Khaled Ibn El Walid Street
- Many large resort and international-brand hotels
East Bank journeys do not require the vehicle to cross the Nile. The exact distance still varies because Luxor's East Bank hotel area extends north and south of the city centre.
Common West Bank destinations include:
- Al-Gezira and the ferry area
- El-Bairat
- Al-Qurna
- Medinet Habu area
- Hotels near the West Bank archaeological sites
- Hager Al Dabayah and properties farther south
For a normal private airport transfer, the vehicle travels by road across the Luxor bridge. The central passenger ferry is useful for people moving between the banks, but it is not the standard route for an airport vehicle carrying passengers and luggage. Because the road bridge is outside the central hotel area, a West Bank transfer is not the same journey as an East Bank transfer.
Important "West Bank" is not one single destination. A guesthouse near the ferry, a hotel near Medinet Habu, and a property farther south can require different routes. Send the property name, full address, or a map pin rather than only writing "Luxor West Bank."

East Bank hotel
Usually the more direct airport route. Eligible routes may receive the displayed starting price after the exact hotel is confirmed.
West Bank hotel
Quoted separately because the vehicle must use the road crossing and continue to the exact West Bank property.
Hotel change after booking
May change the route and price, even when both properties use "Luxor" in their address.
Bank not known

Nile Cruise Transfers Need the Boat Details
"Nile cruise in Luxor" is not a complete pickup or drop-off location. Cruise vessels can use different moorings in or around Luxor, and the final berth may be confirmed or changed by the cruise operator. Please send:
- Cruise boat name
- Cruise company
- Embarkation or disembarkation date
- Latest mooring or docking location
- Tour representative's contact number, if available
If the mooring has not yet been assigned, we can quote provisionally and reconfirm the route when the cruise company provides it.
