First: Where in Aswan Are You Staying?
An airport transfer to a central Corniche hotel is not the same journey as a transfer to an outlying resort, Gharb Soheil, an island-hotel launch point, or a cruise vessel docked outside the city centre. The exact destination determines the route, vehicle time, and final price.
Aswan International Airport is outside the city, south of central Aswan. Different accommodations can lie in different directions from the airport, so distance should be checked from the actual property rather than estimated from "Aswan city."
Common central destinations include:
- Corniche hotels
- Hotels near Aswan Railway Station
- Downtown and Old Souk area
- Hotels around the Nubian Museum and Old Cataract area
- Central riverside properties with direct road access
Eligible central routes may receive the displayed starting price after the exact property is confirmed.
Some resorts, guesthouses, and accommodation use an Aswan address but are outside the central hotel area. A property near the High Dam road, in a southern district, north of the city, or in another outlying location may require a different fare. Send the full hotel name and a map pin. Similar property names and broad location labels can otherwise lead to the wrong route.
Gharb Soheil — also written Gharb Suhail, Gharb Sohail, or West Suhail — is a Nubian village area south of central Aswan on the west side of the Nile. Its airport route is different from a central Corniche transfer. Properties are spread across the village area, and vehicle access can vary by street and hotel entrance. Please send the exact guesthouse or hotel and a map pin. Do not select "Aswan city hotel" if your booking is in Gharb Soheil or another Nubian village.
Hotels on Elephantine Island, other islands, or river locations without direct road access require a transfer to the correct mainland jetty rather than to the hotel door by car. The hotel's own launch, a public ferry, or a separately arranged boat may complete the journey. Confirm with the property:
- Required jetty or pickup point
- Boat operating hours
- Whether the boat is included in the hotel booking
- Whether staff will meet you at the jetty
Our quote will state whether it covers only the road transfer or also includes a separately confirmed boat connection.
Nile Cruise Transfers Need the Exact Mooring
"Nile cruise in Aswan" is not one fixed destination. Cruise vessels can berth at different mooring areas in or beyond the central city, and the assigned location may change before embarkation or disembarkation. Please send:
- Cruise boat name
- Cruise company
- Embarkation or disembarkation date
- Latest docking or mooring location
- Booking reference
- Tour representative's contact number, if available
If the final mooring has not yet been assigned, we can quote provisionally and reconfirm it with you before the transfer.
Nile Cruise or Lake Nasser Cruise?
These are not necessarily served from the same docking area. Standard Nile cruises between Aswan and Luxor commonly use Nile moorings in or around Aswan. Lake Nasser cruises use a different embarkation area associated with the High Dam side of Aswan. Tell us the complete itinerary and vessel name so we do not send the vehicle to the wrong dock.
